ACCESSIBILITY

Statement of Principle
NAVOC views clarity of communication, professionalism, and respect as foundational measures of corporate integrity. Accessibility is a grand challenge and human right, not a matter of legal obligation or corporate exercise. Our approach, therefore, reflects our belief in equity and inclusion as being direct expressions of our ethos.

1. Commitment to Accessibility
NAVOC affirms its commitment to maintaining an accessible, inclusive, and equitable digital environment for all individuals, including those using assistive technologies. We regard accessibility as a hallmark of respect for every individual who interacts with our organisation. Our website and digital platforms are designed and maintained in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA) and relevant UK accessibility standards.

2. Design & Compliance
NAVOC invests considerable resources to ensure that its website and digital platforms are intuitive, logical, and operable for all users. We endeavour to provide perceivable, operable, and understandable digital content for all users. This includes clear clarity of structure; meaningful presentation; consistent and keyboard-friendly navigation; legible and clearly defined link text; alternative text for imagery; and readable colour contrast selected to ensure optimal contrast and readability. We continually seek to eliminate design elements that may cause visual or cognitive friction and maintain full compatibility with recognised assistive technologies.

3. Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is a continual process and evolving discipline. NAVOC conducts regular audits and content evaluations to identify and address barriers that may impede usability. We regard user feedback as a core element of this process and as a key measure of maintaining compliance. While every effort has been made to ensure universal accessibility, certain sections or legacy materials may not yet fully conform to current standards. These areas are subject to ongoing review and enhancement as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.

4. Limitations & Third-Party Content
While NAVOC maintains rigorous accessibility standards across its own digital properties, certain archived materials, embedded media, or third-party platforms integrated into our site may not yet fully meet our accessibility expectations. External websites linked from our platform operate under their own governance and may not adhere to the same standards. We select and monitor such partnerships with care but cannot assume responsibility for accessibility practices beyond our direct control.

5. Support
NAVOC remains dedicated to improving accessibility across all channels and touchpoints. Our goal is to ensure that every client, visitor, and stakeholder can engage with our services seamlessly and with confidence.

If you encounter any difficulties accessing information or functionality on our website, please contact our Operations Team at operations@navoc.org. We will make reasonable efforts to meet your needs and provide information in an alternative format or solution.

6. Escalation
If you remain dissatisfied with our response, you may refer the matter to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) or the Government Digital Service (GDS), both of which oversee accessibility compliance in the United Kingdom.
